MS. FITZSIMMONS

Brynn Fitzsimmons is a current graduate student at the University of Missouri – Kansas City, where she is studying English with an emphasis in manuscript, print culture, and editing, and she also teaches Discourse (research, writing, and rhetoric).

Homeschooled K–12, Brynn also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities Letters with a writing minor and a biblical studies minor from Maranatha Baptist University in Watertown, Wisconsin, near where she grew up. Before moving to Kansas City, she worked as a journalist for local newspapers as well as a legislative staff member for the Wisconsin State Capitol. She also works regularly as a freelance writer and editor.

At her core, Brynn is a storyteller. Whether she’s telling a news story, writing an academic essay, or creating a piece of creative work, she believes all stories can and should reflect God as the Author He is. With nearly ten years of teaching experience, Brynn enjoys helping students understand and engage with stories, writing, literature, and the arts in a way that deepens their critical thinking, their creativity, and their faith.
